VMware Upgrade Order
Through person experience I have found that upgrading VMWare products should be done in a specific order. If you are not able to upgrade the higher level items, such as backups, you want to wait on performing the upgrade until the higher level items support the version you are planning on upgrading too. Also make sure you review the VMware compatibility matrix.

- VUM (Reboot Windows VUM even if not required)
